Using WinZip to De/Compress a File

To Decompress a File:

To decompress a file, open the 'WinZip' application.
Winzip32.exe
To download WinZip: http://www.winzip.com/tucows

To examine a built-in tutorial, click on the 'Wizard' in the menu bar.

Here is an example of a file to be decompressed.

Go to the Menu and 'Open' the 'Example.zip'.

(Open/Example/Open)

'Control/Click' on each item to be 'UnZipped' and 'Extract'.

'Extract to:'

You will be asked for the 'Destination Folder' or location to place the file(s). Done!

To Compress (Zip) a file:

Open 'WinZip'.
Winzip32.exe

Click on 'New' toolbar button.

New Archive Window opens:

Create in: (Name of Destination Folder)

Type in: File Name (Name of Zipped File)

OK

Select each file to be added to the archive and click 'Add' after each one.

When finished adding, the archive is complete.
