Once the first two vectors (yellow to green and then green to blue) are found, you may decide to use Sine Law and Cosine Law to find the vector from the blue dot back to the yellow dot. Sometimes, we find it necessary to measure 2 sides and the enclosed angle in order to calculate the distance across the third leg of a triangle. In the field, we might find it difficult to measure the third leg directly because it lies across the boundaries of a lake, for example. 'x - y' coordinates for the Highway 101 and Refugio Road intersection are: 1010, 818 Level 7 Xoom. For a convenient spot just outside Gaviota, use 750, 755, Level 7, and for Santa Ines, level 7, the coordinates are 903, 565. Again, compare these calculated results with those obtained before.
