Week 4 has four things to do. As always, the assignment is due the Sunday after the week is posted.
First, you will have an assessment for all the remote sensing information from the NASA images we have examined previously. It will include what we learned from the different types of images and what may be available from the collection of NASA sites. For the assessment activity click here.
NOTE: GUESTS AND REVIEWERS SHOULD CLICK HERE!
Second, you need to examine the weather web site under the Image of the Week. I am not going to ask specific questions about the site. However, I do want you to discuss possible ways that this weather site and other related sites could be used in your project. This is a great way for you and your classmates to share ideas and thoughts.
Third, I would like to give you an open forum to discuss your thoughts, ideas, and concerns so far in the class. (For a rubric on what the instructors are looking for in discussions click here.) Remember, I stated that communication is essential in classes of this nature. This is your chance to present your ideas and have your instructor and peers respond.
Finally, you should upload a web page. This will be a practice session for later uploads of your project. Please refer to the Course Documents, Week 4, and the 'Web-Page Tutorial' if necessary.
Point totals (IOW): Completion of assessment five (5) points and comments on IOW Weather three (3) points. Total: Eight (8) IOW points.
Point totals (Comm): Comments in the open forum two (2) points. Total: Two (2) Communication points.
