This week will deal with the basics of Remote Sensing. Students will be exposed to imagery and tutorials that will help develop some new skills in Remote Sensing. There is also a pretest on Remote sensing, agriculture, and problem-base learning.

1. Post the Week 1 content for the students.
2. Send an e-mail to students telling them the content is posted. Direct them to to the pretest first and then work through the rest of the week's content.
3. Create the Week 1 Discussion forum. See below for sample discussion forum ideas.
4. Enter the assignments in the gradebook (Week 1 IOW 3 Points and Pretest completion 2 IOW points).
5. Start a current events announcement. This is designed to give current agriculture related articles to students.

(IOW) This forum is for your comments about remote sensing. Be sure to state how you were able to identify features in the imagery and brainstorm about how imagery could be incorporated in the K-12 curriculum and the project you will complete in this course. There are a total of 3 IOW points in this forum.
