member
will have individual responsibilities as well as the
responsibility of contributing to the group's successful
completion of the web quest. Be sure to familiarize
yourself with the rubrics that will be used to evaluate your
final products as well as evaluate your work as a
group
Journalist
Your task will be
to write the "copy" to be used in the brochure and
presentation. You will need to research the topic from
the student resources provided, lead the group to its
conclusion, and write the document stating the group's
position. Be sure to include research, case studies,
or other information from the web sites to defend your
position. The text needs to be your original work and
include site references when appropriate.
Layout/Design
& Editor
Your task
will be to create the layout and locate the graphics to be
used in the brochure and presentation. You will
need to gather appropriate graphics from the internet.
Be sure to follow copyright laws in reference to use of
graphics and include site references.
PageMaker
Specialist
Your task will be
to create the brochure in PageMaker using good principles of
design. Incorporate the copy from the journalist and
the images selected by the editor.
PowerPoint
Specialist
Your task is to
create the PowerPoint presentation presenting your group's
position on biotechnology. Incorporate the copy from
the journalist with appropriate modifications for
presentation with PowerPoint and images selected by the
editor. Use good principles of design for effective
presentations.
