Zipping and UnZipping Files

Macintosh Version of ZipIt

To Compress or 'Zip' a File:

Drag the file to be compressed to the 'drop box' icon. The file will automatically be compressed. Note: You will need to have AppleScript installed in the 'Extensions' folder inside the System Folder.
Upon compression, the file will look like:		The file is compressed or 'Zipped'. It is ready to transfer or archive.

To Decompress or 'UnZip' a file:

Select the file to be decompressed:

Drag the file to the 'ZipIt' application icon and drop it on top of the ZipIt icon.

This dialog box will appear.

Select the file by clicking on it.

Go to the 'Zip' menu:

and pull down to 'Extract'.

Press 'Save' and your decompressed file is ready.
