Submitting Your Student Pages to America's Farm

Using the 'Fetch' Program to upload your student pages to the 'Farm'

Choose the 'Fetch' Program and double-click on the icon.

Fill in the 'Host' box, the 'User ID' and the 'Password' as shown. The 'Farmers' will provide you with the password. Click 'OK'.

This dialog box will appear. 'Student' will be the destination folder. Double click on that folder so that you can see the contents. In the example below, the 'student' folder has been opened.

After checking to see that the name of your file does not have the same name as any file listed, go to 'Remote' in the Apple menu bar and pull down to 'Put Folders and Files'.

 

 

When you release the mouse a new window will appear. Navigate to your 'student folder' (bsmith) and select it. Click the 'Add' button and your folder will appear in the 'Files and Folders to upload' window. Click the 'Done'.

 

As soon as you click the 'Done' button a new window will appear. Be sure that the two selection fields match the image below.

Once you click the 'OK' button the little 'doggy' will race about and the transfer clock will spin. When these events stop, you will have uploaded your file. It is now ready to be included in your lesson.
