Make a new folder; maybe 'the new dataslate' as an example. Copy the 'dslate' folder and the 'images' folder to your hard drive and place them in your new folder. (Please Note: If you are installing pushpins in your dataset, you MUST name your 'new' folder CASDE_04. Otherwise, the pushpin pathway will be lost. (/CASDE-4/datasets/harlan/rcity) for example. |
The 'dataslate' and 'images' folders now reside in the folder called 'the new dataslate'. Inside this folder, make a new folder and call it 'datasets'. |
Now, copy the 'ALLSKY' dataset from the CD and place it in your new 'datasets' folder. Your new dataset constructed from SimpleStruct must also be placed in the 'datasets' folder. |
Open the 'ALLSKY' folder and your new SimpleStruct folder (called FRONTIER' in this example' and place them side by side. Within your new 'FRONTIER' folder, you have an 'lbl' file and maybe a 'txt' file. Rename them 'allsky.lbl' and 'allsky.txt' and move them to the 'ALLSKY folder. The dialog box asks you if you really want to do this. You do. Press OK. |
Drag the image files over - these correspond to the 'themes' you have in your dataset. In this example, drag the theme 'CO_FAIR' over to the ALLSKY folder. Remove the old themes if you wish. |
Drag all the 'nw, nwnw......' folders from FRONTIER to ALLSKY. "Do you want to replace.....?" Yes.. |
Choose the thumbnail image for your
dataset. Generate your image so that it is exactly 119x110
(width x height). Keep the name of the thumbnail image the
same as it is listed on the CD. In this case, 'sky_th.jpg'
has a small blue line around the edge and 'sky_un.jpg' does
not. Build your two images in this way. |
